Oregon vs. Ohio State National Championship Preview

After Oregon’s pounding of the defending champion Florida State Seminoles in the Rose Bowl and Ohio State’s shocking victory over Alabama we have our national championship game set. The #2 Oregon Ducks will play the #4 Ohio State Buckeyes in the first ever College Football Playoff Final.
How Oregon Can Win:

With a Heisman QB on their side, the Oregon Ducks have a clear advantage. However, Oregon has shown they are more than just Marcus Mariota. They have a stellar set of RBs and if they can get the running game going, it will be a long night for the Buckeyes. Also key for the Ducks is their Defense. If they can force turnovers as they did against Ohio State, their offense will be able to take care of the rest.

How Ohio State Can Win:

Ohio State has come on strong despite the loss of two QBs prior to and during the season. Cardale Jones, their 3rd string QB, will need to play like a seasoned vet to beat the Ducks. Ezekiel Elliot, Ohio State’s featured back, had 230 rushing yards against Alabama’s vaunted defense and will need another great performance. The Buckeyes have drastically improved as the season wore on and  they are playing like the team to beat with one game to play.

Oregon’s offense will be too much for the Buckeyes in a high scoring affair.
