A Time of Reflection

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we are thankful for, along with celebrating with a meal alongside our loved ones. When this holiday approaches, many start to think about what is for dinner or how much food they will eat. Thanksgiving is more than stuffing our faces though; it is also a time to look back on our lives and acknowledge what we are appreciative of.
Junior Jamie Copter believes Thanksgiving is a time to recognize your good fortune of family and health.

“It’s a time to be thankful for everything you have,” Colter said. “I’m thankful for my family and our good health.”

Along with being grateful, Colter said that Thanksgiving is a time where her and her family are able to spend a day together, cooking enjoying each other’s company.

“I love Thanksgiving because it’s a time where you bring all of your family together you haven’t seen all year,” Colter said. “All of my family comes to my house and we start cooking early in the morning up until dinnertime.”

With our busy lives, we often tend to forget what we are truly thankful for. Thanksgiving is an important time to ask yourself what you are truly thankful for this year.
