Plant-a-row for the Hungry

Donations can be brought directly to distribution sites or to the South Coast Food Share Warehouse, located at 225 La Claire in Coos Bay.

Samuel Franklin, who has grown his own produce for years, recently began growing a row in his garden to donate to the food pantry.

“Kids need healthy foods to come home to after school, and I know that not everyone can afford fresh food for their families,” Franklin said. “This is my way of helping out.
