The Pirate men’s varsity basketball team had a successful win against the Thurston varsity team last Thursday.
The Pirates stayed ahead for the duration of the game with a halftime score of 21-15.
Senior Ty Cutting led the team in points while senior Dalton Milburn led in rebounds. Senior Derek Duenas had the most steals and assists for the game.
The game ended with a score of 48-34 to compliment this season’s list of wins.
Senior Brandon Ball shared his excitement towards the season.
“We played really good tonight. We are playing really good this season,” Ball said.
Coach Jesse Ainsworth agreed with Ball.
“We’ve done enough to be competitive. We have a great group, but a long road ahead of us,” Ainsworth said.
